Attachments

Attach photos and documents to your records - receipts, mortality photos, fill plans - and keep them tied to the entry.

Attachments

A photo often tells the story better than a number. PoultryDesk lets you attach images and documents to your records - a receipt on an expense, a photo of the birds on a mortality entry, a fill-plan photo when you set eggs - so the evidence stays with the entry.

Adding an attachment

Where a screen supports attachments, you will see an add-photo or attach control. On a phone you can take the photo there and then; on a laptop you choose a file. The upload happens in the background, so you are never left waiting on a slow connection. Like other daily entries, it saves without a signal and sends when it can.

What you can attach

PoultryDesk accepts common image and document types. There is a size limit per file, and how much attachment storage your organization has depends on your plan. If a file is too large or an unsupported type, the app tells you before it uploads.

For privacy, location and camera metadata is stripped from photos when they are received, so an image does not carry hidden details you did not intend to share.

Where attachments live

Attachments are stored safely and linked to the record they belong to. Open the record - an expense, a mortality entry, a treatment - to see its attachments, and open an attachment to view or download it. Removing an attachment is reversible: it is taken out of view rather than destroyed, keeping the trail intact.
